FEMA provides a number of training classes.  Currently for an ARES deployment you are required to complete IS-100B (M 001).  You are more then welcome to complete more classes but at a minimum you need to have IS-100B.  Please note that a FEMA Student ID is now required, they are no longer using SSN numbers.

Once you have completed a course or courses below, send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. listing the number(s), example "A 001 Complete" or "Completed: A001, B002, B003, S001".  This will allow us to better track and keep track of who has completed which training modules.  The break down as to the numbering listed below: A *** = Advanced; B *** = Basic; M *** = Mandatory; S *** = Supplemental;

ARES/RACES Net

The Net is held weekly on Monday night on the N6ICW and K6IS repeater systems.  The two systems are linked during the net.
